In addition to their variety of photo booth props, Act 1’s professional photographers can direct you to creative poses and capture every precious moment. The attendant will set up the lighting and provide your guests with the tools to showcase their individuality.
Act 1 owner, David Leu, got his start in the wedding industry as a DJ in the 1980s. After several years of providing unbeatable wedding soundtracks, he recognized the unique experience photo booths could add to events.
He quickly started renting out sit-down booths at events where he DJed. After seeing how much people enjoyed them, he knew he wanted his guests to enjoy something bigger and better than the traditional photo booth experience.
David then came up with the idea to build a different type of photo booth, a stand-alone unit, that livened up every party with new photo options. The stand-alone units were an instant success and catapulted Act 1 from a fun side-business to a full-fledged photo booth provider.
Today Act 1 offers four different types of photo booths to guarantee the right fit for your wedding: Traditional Sit-Down Booths, Premium Mirror Booths, Stand-Alone Booths, and the DIY “Do It Your-Selfie” Booths.
Traditional Sit-Down Booths are the classic option — grab a prop, take a seat, pull the curtain closed, and away you go!
“The Sit-Down Booths are a lot of fun,” David said. “They’re great for high schools, corporate events, weddings, and any kind of party you could possibly imagine. This is a cool experience for you!”
Premium Mirror Booths get rid of the bench and curtain and provide a modern twist for the celebrity in everyone! These interactive, oval-shaped smart-mirrors come with a red carpet and velvet ropes to make your guests feel — almost — as glamourous as you.
The Stand-Alone Booths, also known as, The New Classic, use a ring light and green screen to add fun and exciting backgrounds to your photos.
In addition to the booths themselves, these three options all come with: 1 attendant, prints on-site, premium props, interchangeable backdrops, custom overlays, and a digital dropbox of every photo from the event.
The fourth and final option is the DIY “Do It Your-Selfie” Booth, which is David’s personal wedding favorite.
“They’re really cool,” David said. “We drop it off, you run it all day long, and then we come and pick it up at the end of the event. It’s perfect!”
The Do It Your-Selfie Booths are easy to operate and incredibly cost-efficient, giving you and your guests the option of not needing an attendant to operate the booth throughout the event.
“There’s also no printer,” David said. “The Do It Your-Selfie Booth sends the photos directly to your email or text messages — whatever you prefer.”
Instead of prints, the Do It Your-Selfie Booth comes equipped for social media sharing, but you’ll still get a digital dropbox of all the booth’s photos.
